High Notes teaches in-person and online. Lessons typically last 45 minutes though longer times may be available bases on availability. Lessons consists of vocal warm-ups, technical training, song practice, and presentation Students will be given exercises and songs to practice between lessons. While the needs of each student vary, we recommend students attend lessons at least three time a month to obtain the greatest benefit. Packages can be tailored to include the following services based on your desires and needs: recording times, voice lessons, beginning piano, acting lessons, and music theory instruction.
While we have a selection of music to choose from, you will have the opportunity to sing the songs they want to sing. Whether you love classic rock, R&B, or country, Hip/Hop and even Opera.We will guide you through obtaining music, reading the notes, and finding the sound you love! Our goal is to give each you a strong foundation to build and develop your own style of singing.
For at home practice, students will benefit the most from having regular access to a piano or electric keyboard (your instructor can provide recommendations on different models if you plan to purchase one). By using a piano, students can practice matching the pitch of their voice with that of the piano notes to create a beautiful sound. As students progress, they will also learn to play chords on the piano, which helps them gain agility in singing complex notes and to understand more about the theory of music.
If at home access to a piano is unattainable, your instructor can also recommend various apps to use on your mobile devices to practice pitch and vocal agility.
